National Portrait Gallery

The National Portrait Gallery, a branch of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., portrays men and women who have made significant contributions to the history, development, and culture of the people of the United States. Established by an Act of Congress in 1962 and opened to the public in 1968, the museum reopened in July 2006 after an extensive renovation.

This page is dedicated to the people of New England Conservatory who are represented by works in the National Portrait Gallery.
